Your typical day – Our MDA analysts and engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities at Redstone Arsenal. Redstone is located in Huntsville, Alabama, otherwise known as “Rocket City.” Huntsville is the hub of missile and space research and development. You will collaborate with other missile defense experts – military, government civilians, and contractors from Axient and other companies. Our team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development and delivery of state-of-the art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems.
What you will do...
Provide direct support to MDA Test Planning and Design Operations lead to include:
Task Management Tool (TMT), personnel actions, weekly reports, and calendars
Hardware and software tracking including inventories and records management
Support Division Chief to include Integrated Master Test Plan development, coordination, staffing, and delivering
Test Configuration Sheet development and management
Schedule, participate in, and present information at working group meetings, peer reviews and other technical meetings
Communicate status and updates to the customer and senior management
Possess knowledge and technical skills tosupport MDA’s Test Directorate in all aspects of flight tests, ground tests and range safety analysis and data production
Skills you will need...
Required Skills and Experience Include:
BA/BS degree in a pertinent field with minimum of 7 years of related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Critical thinking and problem solving
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with a team in a dynamic environment
Self-starter with willingness to learn
Ability to make proper, timely decisions and recommendations
Highly Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) organization and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) design, performance and testing
Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks
